Effective Date: 3.06.2025

Service Provider: Sophie Sleep

Clients: Parents or legal guardians of children aged 0–4 years

By booking a 1:1 service with me, Sophie Sleep, you agree to the following Terms and

Conditions.

1. Disclaimer – Nature of Support Provided

By working with me, you understand and agree that the support I provide is

educational and guidance-based only. I am a baby and toddler sleep consultant, not a

medical, psychological, nutritional, or therapeutic professional.

My role is to:

Offer tailored sleep strategies and support based on your child’s needs

Guide families using my training, experience, and knowledge

Provide general baby care advice where appropriate (e.g., routines, weaning,

environment)

However:

I do not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or psychological condition

I do not replace professional advice from doctors, therapists, lactation

consultants, or dietitian's

It is your responsibility to seek medical clearance and ensure there are no

underlying health conditions before implementing sleep changes

If your child has feeding difficulties, developmental delays, or medical concerns, you

must consult your GP, health visitor, or relevant healthcare provider before working

with me or making any changes to your child’s sleep routine.

2. Training & Background

I graduated from Norland College in 2020. The advice and support I provide are based

on my professional training and hands-on experience with children and families.

However, my support, techniques, and guidance are not endorsed by Norland College

and may not reflect the most current research or Norland training.

I hold an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring I meet UK safeguarding standards for

working with children.3. Service Options and Age Suitability

I work with children aged birth to 4 years.

However:

The 60-minute phone call and home visit services are only suitable for babies

aged 6 months and older

The 30-minute phone call service is available for families worldwide and suitable

for all children from birth up to 4 years

Home visit fees include standard travel costs. If your location requires significantly

higher travel expenses, I will contact you to discuss options. I will always do my best

to accommodate you, as in-person work is my favourite form of support, allowing

me to:

Observe your child

Review the sleep environment

Offer immediate, hands-on guidance

4. Sleep Diary Requirement

For 60-minute phone calls and home visits, you must complete at least a 3-day

sleep diary prior to the session. This allows me to analyse your child’s current sleep

patterns and offer the most informed, personalised support possible.

I will:

Offer individualised, compassionate support

Provide realistic, tailored strategies for your family

Be available during agreed support periods to answer questions and adjust

plans

However:

No specific sleep outcome can be guaranteed

You are responsible for applying the guidance consistently

Sleep changes can take days, weeks or even months, depending on your child

and family situation

Sleep is complex and ever-changing. What works for one family may not work for

another. My support is always tailored and there is no “one size fits all

6. Your Role in the Process

Lasting sleep improvements rely on:

Consistency – following through on routines and strategies

Commitment – staying engaged with the process

Patience – allowing time for your child to adapt

I am here to guide and support, but you must implement the plan.

You are responsible for making changes and ensuring safe sleep practices are followed.

Children grow and change constantly. Sleep routines may need to evolve over time,

and I encourage follow-up support as needed.

7. Safe Sleep Commitment

I follow and encourage full compliance with The Lullaby Trust’s safe sleep guidelines,

including:

Placing babies on their backs to sleep

Using a firm, flat mattress with a fitted waterproof sheet

Keeping the sleep environment free of bumpers, soft toys, loose blankets, or

pillows

Room-sharing for the first 6 months

Parents and caregivers are fully responsible for ensuring a safe sleep space. I am

not liable for any safety issues or outcomes resulting from failure to follow these

practices.

work with.
